Why is it that whenever someone needs to have their shift at work covered I can do it but when I want a day off for work everyone’s busy or can’t do it. I’m literally covering 3 different people’s shifts at work right now

I told my boss I’m not working this Sunday so I can go to Honda day. Now this Sunday no one can cover for me and I’m fucked. So mad
I always cover for people and when I need to be covered its impossible. Especially when I have to work counter and no one else is competent enough to do counter as well
