I think it depends on the idea you want to portray in the picture. Like if you want the buildings to look like this golden Mt. Olympus, then I'd go with your friends. If you want the person seeing the picture to see grayness and melancholy contrasted with lit up buildings, go with yours.

Yours looks more natural, yet his sky looks a bit better. His looks too edited though, if your clouds were a tiny bit yellower or brighter, it'd be perfect. other than that... it needs more blue shades
